Fantastic high performance flexible shaft turning tool.

After burning some Dremel tools which lasted 6 months at best and a few Praxair tools I broke down and ordered one of these"industrial" flexible shafts Fordom tools. I should have done that a long time ago! The tool is huge compared to anything Dremel makes, it's in a whole different league. It runs very quietly and is easy to control with the speed footswitch. After using lightweight Dremel tools and much better Praxair rotary tools, the power and torque available with this tool is amazing…

This tool is addictive!

I use this to make electric wood carvings. I have several 1/4" Kutzall bits and a 1/4" grinder. This device is powerful and not very noisy. The variable speed pedal is really good. I am posting a Dremel that I still use. I love all of the Foredom bits and accessories and am planning on getting a set of chisels. My only complaint is that my unit was missing the tiny set screw that attaches the inner shaft to the motor and mine was loose in the shell. I had to order another inner shaft for…

Much improved and more flexible choice than Dremel

Nice construction. If you have money to spend, get one of the Foredoms with a 1/3 HP motor. Not smaller engines. I'm used to dial speed devices and I was thinking about buying a dial controller for this device. Having used the pedal for a while I would NOT go back. It is much more pleasant to slowly pick up speed in many projects. Then it's easy enough to maintain the desired speed. This.
