Good flux if needed

Tip: Take small portions from container. It's sux if you knock it down with torch hoses. Works well. Update - Used for soldering copper and stainless steel. Helped a lot!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not sure

Forney 37250 Soldering Flux

I used this powdered Forney flux with my existing brass soldering rod and it worked great for my needs. Simply preheat the rod with a torch, dip it in the flux and you're ready to solder. I think the price here on Revain for the 8 ounce container was very reasonable too.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • 0

Maybe I did something wrong, but I don't think so!

I can't say anything except that I want to get something else. Maybe it's my fault, I tried using it on aluminum but it only made things worse. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is that it may not have been designed for aluminum but it says it is.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.

Silver solder like a pro!

This flux was perfect for the HVAC silver soldering I recently did to help my dad. You only need a small amount of flux and once it melts and becomes transparent, touch the solder to the area of flux and it will magically absorb into the joint. That's a lot of solder and should last many years of soldering. Highly recommended for professionals and amateurs like me!

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Silver solder like a pro!

This flux was perfect for the HVAC silver soldering I recently did to help my dad. You only need a small amount of flux and once it melts and becomes transparent, touch the solder to the area of flux and it will magically absorb into the seam. That's a lot of solder and should last many years of soldering. Highly recommended for professionals and amateurs like me!

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other fluxes
