    Good Product: Building Materials

I used this before installing 3/4 inch red oak flooring in my house and it appears to be a good product. Easy to install, minimal odor, staple and go. The kids earned extra points by having them color it before nailing the floors.

    Pros
    • High marks for hold and durability from testers
    Cons
    • I'll write later

    Great for wooden floor underlay

This is a good product as a primer for wooden floor underlay or a vapor barrier on a wall but not sure if it will be used in constant moisture as the actual thing is, these are just bitumen paper sandwiches. Sturdy brown paper so you won't have tar smell or sticking issues.

    Pros
    • Few competitors
    Cons
    • Slightly wrinkled

    Great underlay for hardwood floors

Drops easily and stays in place while laying the floor. Obviously it will take 20 years to determine if the product works properly. But as this is not my first wooden floor I can say the product feels great and I am not losing any sleep using this underlay.

    Pros
    • Ideal for a small home
    Cons
    • The list goes on.

Just plain thin paper smelling of gasoline

Just plain thin paper smelling of gasoline I would never use in construction. I really don't see how it can be useful for any type of floor underlay, I wouldn't use it. I ordered it based on the description but it's just thin paper with a strong smell. waste of money!

    Pros
    • Durable test results
    Cons
    • Slightly torn

    Dirt-free roof underlay

First time and not the last time with this product. Used as a backing for 3/4" oak hardwood over OSB. Much better than using old roofing felt. You could unroll it, kneel on it when tacking it and leave no marks on your knees or hands. Slight odor when cutting but nothing in the near felt paper.

    Pros
    • Satisfied so far
    Cons
    • No

    Ideal for parquet floors

After weeks of arguing about the underpayment of parquet floors, I finally decided on Aquabar. This material is great for the price range. I let it air out a few days before installation, it doesn't smell. Easy to roll and cut with a utility knife. I've walked on it with wet feet and it's holding up (doesn't tear, doesn't rip, doesn't wrinkle). This is ideal for wooden floors.

    Pros
    • Stylish and modern design
    Cons
    • Security

    Product as expected

Used as an underlay for 3/4" engineered wood flooring. Product is well made and should last for decades. Fold on its side, place the end of the paper where the where the floor meets the wall, fold the excess aquabar, use a utility knife and cut the crease in place.Stretch the wall across the room and fix (fold) in the same way where with a knife or scissors is to be cut, the length will be just right.

    Pros
    • New
    Cons
    • Minor repair
