Works but does not fit the bracket as expected.

They work but I previously bought what I thought was this brand and the socket looked identical in the picture BUT does not fit securely on the car mount like the original OBD plug. This makes matters worse as I tried to add the accessory discreetly and just snapped the second jack into the car's metal bracket, but the plastic tabs are slightly different and it just won't snap and stay in place. I also tried this on two different cars with metal and plastic mounts and encountered the same…

Bad crimps on this connector

Was going to use this to create a standard OBD2 port out of my Haltech Elite2000 ECU port but before I even started the two purple wires on the end of the socket popped out . Attempting to remove the two remaining pins proved impossible without screwing in the plastic case and since it was virtually unusable at the time I decided to tug at the whole thing. Aha! Each wire came out with almost no resistance! How to quickly light a fire in the car! Most of the wires didn't even look like they were

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Some bugs

Doesn't work for my Honda Fit 2018. You can see in the pictures the two connectors on top are the Y's something else. Only one of them was able to securely connect to my car gps tracker (vyncs). The other felt two small/tight, or the pin configuration was wrong. I have no idea about the differences in specs between these connector types and can't find any information online. ODB2 is supposed to be a "universal" connector, but this cable proves otherwise. I know there are 'A' and 'B' type…

THIS WILL HELP ME PASS MY SMOG TEST! OBD2 OBDII 16 pin splitter extension

My car registration was due in August 2020 and this time I needed smog control, as a friend once told me, pay cancellation on time even if you fail and receive a smog check, you do not have to pay a late fee. So, I learned from last time. I went to four different test smog sites until I found a problem with the OBD2 sensor (computer wasn't ready). Finally in the five places I've taken my car the guy said this is your connector, one of the pins might be bent etc. So I said to myself, I'm…
