The Fotasy FD to EOS R adapter works well with older Canon FD lenses from the 1970s and 1980s on Canon R-mount mirrorless cameras. I've hoarded these lenses for decades in hopes of using them again. Works great for M42 lenses that have space behind the mount. But with lenses like the first one pictured above you will run into issues where the aperture ring or focus ring will stick to the front of the adapter so it can be a little tricky as it needs to be tightened to achieve infinity focus . PLUS: This adapter is great if you have some old Canon FD mount lenses. In my case I had 20mm f2.8, 135mm f2 and 500mm f8 SLR lenses. The latter is the real reason I bought it. This Canon FD to Canon EOS R adapter is almost perfect. It's very heavy for what it is - it's made of a lot of metal. Both ends of the adapter fit very well: both the camera side (EOS R) and the lens side (FD) connect with a reassuring and firm clink.
