Well made product. The rubber eyecup is large and rotatable so it can be used for both right and left eyes. It blocks side light and ensures a sharper image in the viewfinder. Does not affect the automatic switching of the view from the eye monitor to the rear external monitor. Blocks easy access to the hot shoe when attaching a flash or other accessory. You can walk past it, but I chose to just gently lift and remove it, attach and reattach the flash.

I removed the star because I had to remove it. But I don't have to take it off because I don't have a Canon Fd mount camera right now. This is not a full FTZ adapter, there are no electrical connections so the Nikon camera cannot control anything in the lens. Lens caps are perfect for 67mm lenses. They are manufactured under the Nikon brand, so they look like the originals. I bought them mainly for the cord. There is a point on the edge of the lens cap for threading the cable. The cord is not a pre-knotted loop, but simply a piece of cord. I threaded the cable through the hole in the lens cap and then tied it to the camera strap mount. I can put a cap on the lens but the cable is taut and that's not acceptable to me. I have two of these Leica M to Nikon Z adapters. The first feeling is that it is well made and the lens snaps in tight. In the second case the lens is loose and now I notice that there is some rotational play in the mount on both the lens side and the body side. This Fotasy M42 for Nikon Z is well made, the M42 thread is smooth and will not snag on any of my lenses.
