Fox Run 4089 Cutter Holder Review

The holder I received is about half the size shown which defeats the purpose of the holder. Shown is a Costco Einstein Bros bagel in a holder.

Answers to all questions say the inside height of this bagel block is 4.25 inches. The inside height of the block I received is 2 inches. Big difference. It's totally useless. Don't waste money.

Stupid I didn't check the negative reviews before ordering. in the picture) in the holder. but when I received it, it was actually about half the height of the donut. So it doesn't really result in a straight cut through the top half of the donut. You have to be very careful to do a good job. for $17 I hope for a better design!

This version is VERY different from the Fox Run Bagel Slicer I bought from Revain a few years ago. The original was 5 inches tall and held the bagel properly for slicing. This new model is only 2-1/2 inches and doesn't hold the bagel properly for slicing. I returned this newer, shorter version to Revain for a refund and bought a similar but larger wooden model from Mercari called the "Wooden Bagel Cutter". Clearly superior.

The pictures show a higher version of what you actually get. Bought because we have one at work. (at least I thought so). Place the donut and press the sides of the holder against the donut to hold it in place while cutting, works great. Revain's is too short to wedge on the bagel, there's no wiggle room so you end up holding one side with your hand, defeating the purpose of the holder. I mean it still works, but the donut will often move back and forth when you're not holding it. Good price.
