I use this to keep the humidity down in my laundry room, but here in south Louisiana I probably fancy it makes a difference. But I'm an optimist. Seriously, it seems to speed up the drying of clothes that are hung out to dry in the laundry.

When I received this product there was no filter on top to cover the charcoal pellets. So if you tilt it slightly, the pellets will come out. I think the quality check missed it. I've bought them before and they all have a filter on top to prevent spilling any moisture or granules.

I had a strong musty damp smell under the kitchen sink in this old house I rent. After 24 hours with this bucket under the sink, the smell is completely gone. I am very happy with it. I will be buying more to put in my closets to prevent mold/fungus from growing on my clothes.

Has done nothing against moisture. I put it in a cupboard under the kitchen sink and it just stayed there and hardened into a hard lump. Moisture does not accumulate in a plastic bath. I have previously used hand and hammer moisture and odor control and this improved the musty smell and quickly built up a moisture sock. That musty smell returned as I tried to get rid of the moisture. From now on I use the product "Hand and Hammer" conscientiously.

I placed it in a very small bathroom 10'X5' for 5 days and only need to collect some in the morning . I also keep the bathroom door closed to keep moisture out of my bedroom. As I said, it was 5 days and 5 showers and not a drop of water in the container. Now I can pretty much assume I won't be expecting anything in the next 5 days. GARBAGE!

If I knew how well they eliminate unpleasant smells, I would have bought them many years ago. They are really good for getting rid of musty air caused by bad plumbing, old house odors and bed accidents that have evaporated during the night and filled rooms and hallways. The product does not work. Came with crystals in the lower chamber and it is not possible to open the item to bring those crystals back to the upper chamber. The top was hard as a rock and didn't absorb a single drop of water, even in a very humid place where other similar products had absorbed a lot.
