The filter works but the ring doesn't!

I have a radian drip post oil change with a filter and a set of o-rings. In comparison, the new O-ring is significantly thinner than the old one. Thankfully, I was able to reuse my old O-rings with no problems.

Pros
  • nice little thing
Cons
  • some loose change

Oil rings too small

Got this filter for a 1982 Yamaha 750 Maxim Xj750 engine. I am the original owner and changed all oils myself, 39 years old and mostly all with Fram filters. Why the heck are the o-rings too small on this order?

Pros
  • That's great
Cons
  • Not bad

Wrong o-rings included

The o-rings supplied with this filter are not thick enough to ensure a proper seal. Oil leaked from bolt and housing. I had to order the right size from Yamaha to fix the leak. I had already thrown away the o-rings that were on the bike before I realized the new ones didn't fit.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Hard to tell

I will not buy Fram again.

Terrible. I will never buy Fram again. The O-rings that come with the filter are thin. Not thick enough to fill the groove on the oil filter cup. Against my better judgment I used the new ones that came with a below average filter instead of reusing the old ones I had. does not seal completely. oil leaks out. Beware!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Modern

Not a complete spin-on oil filter.

Expecting the filter to be ready for the oil change. There is no o-ring on this filter that renders it unusable as I threw away the old o-ring with the old filter. This should only be advertised as a filter with no o-ring. I am very dissatisfied and will not recommend this supplier to other motorcycle owners I deal with.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Useless features

Useless o-rings on oil filters

Filter is ok, o-rings are the right diameter but not the right thickness. 82 XJ650 and the oil cap stopped closing. Compared the main body o-ring to the one I removed (which was flattened) and the new o-ring was maybe 2/3 thick. Unsealed, constant leaks. Replaced by replacement filter. The filter element itself is fine.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is ok

O-rings included but not the best quality

Needed a stock oil filter on an old project bike and since the o-rings were included it went with Fram. The paper element filters appear to be of decent quality and construction but the o-rings are not as thick as the OEM units in the bike and weren't 100% sure they could properly seal the filter housing and retaining screw. So far so good, but the lack of attention to detail hasn't impressed. If your main selling point over the competition is to include o-rings, they should be at least OEM…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Upgrades

Perfect fit for XJ750 Seca

Perfect fit for my 83 XJ 750 Seca. In fact, it fits a lot better than some of the other brands I've tried. The last ones I got were too tight on the core bolt and you literally had to screw them in, which was a big problem when trying to get it between the tubes to get it in place. (If you have a Seca with 4-in-1 tubes you know what I'm talking about.) This one slipped on with a snug but not too tight fit, making it much easier to fit the cap between the tubes and insert them screw after. It…
