Frameless Scuba Diving And Snorkeling Mask: Tilos Excel For Free Diving Review

Fantastic Mask! No issues at all. It's comfortable, straps adjust easily (and stay in place), uses one piece of tempered glass and has GREAT field of vision!

Disclaimer: This is my first low volume mask, so I can only compare it to my other non-low volume masks. The field of view on this is great compared to my other non-low volume masks. With my other masks before, I could not see my d-rings on my shoulders, whereas with the Tilos I can. The fit is good (asian face here), nothing that knocks my socks off. The black skirt is great for vary sunny conditions as well.

Finally a mask that I dont have to shave to prevent from leaking. I actually trust this to go into the ocean. It folds flat and is fairly cheap.

I have no clue what the person who rated 4 star is talking about. There are no pins in my mask. The strap is clipped in using a clip. It clicks in place, and stays in place. It is very easy to remove.The view though is spectacular and I couldnt recommend it more. The low dip in the mask provided me more view to the bottom of the sea while diving. I have not used this mask yet, having just received it. I was very much looking forward to it since my snorkel habits, for better or worse include wanting to see what I am heading toward as well as what is below and to do this, especially in shallower waters, I find I am constantly bending my neck back and because of the position end up with slight nausea and/or neck ache. I was excited about this mask and it arrived in good condition. The quality was excellent. However, it leaked around the edges. I have an average sized adult male face. I had to go back to my other mask. I don't really blame the mask. It just wasn't a fit for me.

I haven't used a ton of masks yet for scuba, but this one was perfect. Great little features in the mask. It has neat little raised marks on the corners that help your grip when clearing. The strap quick disconnects which is cool as well. I was hesitant about the clear, but I like the extra light it lets in. These are the same as Promate frameless Mask for scuba diving snorkel with mask protective box. I ordered both thinking they were different. Fits well, low profile but don't like that it is sold using 2 different names. I will be returning this pair because it costs more. I will be placing my review under the Promate name.

I bought this because I needed a good mask to dive with contact lenses. I won't be using this for at least 6 more weeks when I travel, but I'll review what I've seen so far. The pins are so small compared to the other brands and they can break easily. I send it to fix and Tilos change them to metal pins. Nice.Big field of view.

I've been spearfishing for over 10 years and I am in the water on a regular basis. I was in the market for a new frameless mask and was reading reviews in magazines on them. I read about the tilos and purchased one. A few words of advice after purchasing, buy a mask conditioner and mask defog solution. Follow the instructions and you will have minimal fogging problems. I was very excited to get this mask. The design is excellent. The field of view is fantastic. I purchased this because someone wrote that it fit large faces. Unfortunately, it did not adequately seal for my face. If you have a medium/average sized face, this mask is very comfortable. If only the rubber that sealed laterally on the eyes was 1/2" longer.

This is one of the best masks I have owned. I have been scuba diving for 11 years now and am extremely happy with this product. The field of view is incredible. As with all low profile masks and pretty much every scuba diving masks it has a tendency to fog BUT if you rub the inside of the mask with tooth paste when you first get it it definitely helps. These leaked on me when scuba diving. The regulator would push the tip of the mask up too high (under my nose, on my top lip), and cause the mask to leak. The view was good and the low profile mask provided good visibility. But the fit was wrong for my face

This mask has a better field of view than my Aqualung Micromask. Very low volume too.I found the skirt to be a bit harder than the Micromask, which fits perfectly for me. This causes this mask to get slowly flooded. Not a big deal, I just wish I could have an hibrid of the Tilos and the Aqualung.--vchoi

This thing was a major hastle on my vacation. It fit too tightly around the nose area and it fogged up way to much, even after the whole spit-and-clean technique. I ended up putting this in my car and using some crappy walmart one which worked a hell of a lot better. Would not recommend.
