I bought this product to flush a water heater. All of the submersible water pumps at Lowe's and Home Depot were too expensive and too powerful for my needs. I tested this submersible water pump and it is perfect for my needs. I plan to only use it twice a year to descale my water heater. Only criticism is that it didn't come with a 3/4" hose adapter. I had to go to Lowe to buy the hoses I use.

The pump keeps turning off. This is the second one I've bought. Get a refund for the first time. Both have the same shutdown problem after about 30-45 minutes (possibly thermal shutdown) and stay off for 2-5 minutes. The pump is in the pond, about a foot below the water level. I tried reducing the flow to see if that would solve the problem, but that didn't help. This isn't a problem in the warmer months, but can be a big problem when the water freezes. Flow is great when it works!

The pump works perfectly, which pleases me. There are just a few small unexpected features that surprised me. It is filled with pebbles. Yes, there are a lot of pebbles lying around in the pump. They are probably needed to make the pump heavier for reasons of stability. It still works well, it's just a weird way of adding weight. I purchased a 1300 GPH pump to pump water to a marsh gravel filter installed in my pond. When I first got it, as stated in another review, the pump turned on and off intermittently. After about 8 days it failed completely and could not be switched on again. There were no power issues and it was installed correctly, I have 4 other pumps in the pond that perform the same function and all with no problems. Purchased this item in August 2020 and used it during the day for 2 months before it was removed by this year (2021). The pump worked very well, quietly, with great pressure. Started it back up in May and it shut off for 5 minutes every 20 minutes or so. In August he stopped working altogether. The instructions state that if it overheats, it will automatically shut off until it cools down. I had a delivery problem. I don't think it's really the seller's fault but they responded very quickly and sent a replacement. I connected 2 of these pumps to different sized hoses. Using a 1" pipe adapter the flow rate is very impressive. I had to install a diverter and divert some of the water back to the tank I was pumping from because the flow was more than I needed. I could turn the flow control on of the pump but I didn't want to have back pressure on the pump if I could avoid it. I have…
