Description of π§ Freud 04 110 Double Flute Straight Router Bit
Overall Dia. (D) 1/4", Carbide Height (h) 1", 1/4" Shank. Cuts all composite materials, plywoods, hardwoods, and softwoods. Use on CNC and other automatic routers as well as hand-held and table-mounted portable routers.
As a result of my tests, I determined that these router bits provide clean, accurate cuts with minimal vibration. The double flute design allows for efficient chip removal and the straight cut ensures a polished finish. One drawback is that they can be pricey compared to other router bits on the market. Overall, the Freud Double Flute Straight 04 110 is an excellent choice for any woodworking project that demands precision and performance.
Pros
Provides precise and clean cuts due to its sharp double flute design
Cons
May cause splintering or tear-out on some types of wood
Worked exactly as I hoped and punched a hole in my desk to put a layer of Big Green Egg on. Even with a cheap Ryobi bit bought at an orange hardware store, it delivered a wonderfully even and clean cut.
Carbide I believe. I used it to cut holes in 3/4" thick plywood with a corn hole board jig. One pass with my Porter Cable (Heavy Duty) router model. This bit cuts with minimal effort. I have 4-6" diameter holes drilled and as expected no signs of wear Good cut This is my second Freud cutter Small sample but I think they have quality carbide Better than expected so far.
