I love Quadra-Cut

I have several sizes, I always go for the Quadra-Cut model, worth cutting an expensive piece of wood with a great finish.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • boring packaging

Nice bit in your router bit collection.

Not bad to have. Cuts clean. Used once but plan to use more. Part-time carpenter on weekends, plans to drive a few more miles.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Excellent router bit, best in router parts and accessories

I've used this bit a couple of times while building some picture frames. He is as perceptive and confident as the day he arrived. I am absolutely convinced of Freud's editors. This is the third Freud cutter I have purchased and I am very happy with all of them. I wish I could say the same about some other brands.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Problems

Smooth and fast cutting, ideal for smoothing out sharp edges

I've never used a rounded router bit, in fact it was the third time I've ever used a router bit. It was an extremely smooth and easy cut. The end result didn't even need sanding, it was so smooth. Great product! Ideal for softening the edges of a children's play structure.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

When quality counts 😀👍

I'm a hobby carpenter, but I appreciate quality tools. I use Freud and Whiteside as my top choices for editors because of their consistency. I am currently using many circular and straight cutters for edging and hand routing as ordered. What matters is how long the cutters last when used correctly and so far I've been happy with this cutter. I've made several boards and various edgings out of hardwoods (oak, maple, cherry, and hickory) with my Bosch router and this bit seems to run smoother…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Zero

My new favorite brand!

Just finished milling over 40ft of tenon boards and the last board looks as good as the first. I've tried two other brands that burned wood and dulled the drill bit. This is now my favorite brand. I didn't have to babysit a bit. That beat was awesome. Over the years, working with wood has always required me to work slowly and pay attention to the details, but not those details. I saved a lot of time and nerves. Thanks very much!

Pros
  • Cuts all composites, plywood, hardwoods and softwoods.
Cons
  • Newer model could have been selected

I like the new Freud square

I love the new Freud Quadra Cut with rounded edges for a smooth and easy cut. I complain that the picture shows a round with a top and bottom shoulder, but that can't be done with the included 3/4" diameter bearing. A smaller diameter bearing (1/2 inch) should be used, but that is not the case included, must be purchased separately I have other Freud router bits that have 1/2" bearings but the Quadra Cut has a 1/4" ID and all the other Freud bearings are smaller than 3/16" id so they won't fit…

Pros
  • with a rounded tip, used on portable handheld and desktop routers.
Cons
  • socket required.
