I'm a hobby carpenter, but I appreciate quality tools. I use Freud and Whiteside as my top choices for editors because of their consistency. I am currently using many circular and straight cutters for edging and hand routing as ordered. What matters is how long the cutters last when used correctly and so far I've been happy with this cutter. I've made several boards and various edgings out of hardwoods (oak, maple, cherry, and hickory) with my Bosch router and this bit seems to run smoother than most round bits I've used over the years. Now, to keep the edge of the blade clean, I apply some hand sanitizer and let it sit for a few minutes before brushing any residue off the blade. Gently scrub and wipe the wood with a soft brush. Between that and Whiteside, I'm leaning more towards Freud personally with this beat!
