Check your Radius

The product worked fine, but the 1/16 inch radius is really small. Check your work. I really needed a 1/8 inch radius so I bought some from another supplier because I was in a hurry. But this vendor's product cuts well and feels premium.

Pros
  • Power tool parts and accessories
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Excellent quality typically Freud

This is a 1/16" radius round router bit. With a small radius you need to be sure your wood is perfectly flat and the edge is right (Any wrap or rounding of the edges gives a poor result. The quality of the tip itself is typically Freud - excellent. The 1/4" shank is perfect for such an easy rounding. The carbide is well ground. I bought this tip for the store - Bought walnut furniture and it worked perfectly. If I didn't have to assemble the other parts I would probably use a plane or hand sand

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • I say nothing

Perfect edge for a more modern look

I really prefer the smaller cutting radius this bit offers over the 1/8" round bit. Maintains a thicker, squarer profile while preserving broken edges, which is perfect for my project style. Of course you can do the same with sandpaper, but it won't be as consistent, especially if you're new to woodworking like me.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Cool on aluminium.

I used this to give a 6061 aluminum plate a small radius. I've used it at about 50 linear feet and it's just as sharp as the day I opened it. I actually took a 3/16" radius cutter to redo some parts, thinking the router and aluminum would be a bad combination. A larger radius bit works just as well. If you use this on a tree it should last a long time. for a very long time.

Typical Freud in excellent quality

This is a 1/16 inch radius round cutter. With a small radius, you need to make sure your wood is absolutely flat and the edge is flat (straight). Result. The quality of the nozzle itself is typically Freud - excellent. The 1/4" shank is perfect for that little curve. The carbide is well sharpened. I bought this attachment for store-bought walnut furniture and it worked great. If I didn't have other parts to assemble I would probably use a planer or grind the radius by hand. Most of my cutters…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
