It's SO easy! Twist the old one and remove it as all the wet parts are inside the cylinder. So hold up the open end (the opposite of what you're holding) and then allow it to drain into the sink while you insert the new one and turn it a quarter and you're done. Then take a half-gallon or one-gallon pitcher and pour out a gallon of water. Then everything is fine.

Replacement filter was purchased on 05/10/2018. Installation instructions followed and installed around 05/15/2018. On 08/15/2018 the new order indicator lights filter. I went through the original Frigidaire filter and changed this filter in 8 months. Our water district's website states that our city water is medium hard. I had the worst. Either the bad quality of Frigidaire filters or a scam to get more money. Either way it's annoying.

Although the website says this filter fits my Frigidaire side-by-side fridge, it did not fit. I checked and checked the model numbers. Since I only discovered the problem when my fridge said I needed to REPLACE the filter, by then it had been 6 weeks since I ordered the filter. When I went to return it I was past the 30 day window and was not eligible for a return. Where is the responsibility for false advertising?!?

The product works perfectly. I have to order it about every six months for our French door Frigidaire fridge. The only criticism is the high price of this product. Revain used to offer an unbranded alternative but it disappeared after I first ordered it. I wish I could stock up on occasion. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this product other than that we spend about $100 a year on water filters for our fridge.

One in three of these water filters is defective and only lasts a few weeks instead of 6 months. Since this model is difficult to find, I was forced to re-order those that Frigidaire had been producing for 3 years. The filter is still NSF certified but no longer made in the USA. Previously, these filters were listed as "Made in the USA from globally sourced materials." The image promoting this product still clearly shows the filter with the same wording but when it arrived and I inspected it prior to installation it now says 'Made in Singapore'. I was upset and went to my local big store. The same thing. Obviously this is a change from Frigidaire and not Revain, but it would be nice to have a US option…

I received a filter which was easy to install and fit like a charm. However, after replacing the filter, the icemaker stopped making ice.
