Very easy to mix: Fish & Aquatic Animals

The water in my mixing bucket is crystal clear when mixed. The other salt I've used has always been milk based and took a while to fully mix. First time using so time will tell. hoping for the best.

Don't waste money!

Terrible product! Sends my magnesium through the roof along with my calcium. Killed his Zoas before he knew it was salt. Then I asked some of my reef groups. This is just one of the posts I found: Is anyone using Fritz Salt? I tested the alcohol in a batch of fresh salt and got 9.6 alcohol at 33 ppt (1.025). I found a lot of messages and a lot of dissatisfied people because of this salt!

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • High price

Mixes easily and is close to natural parameters

Excellent salt at a great price. I was looking for a salt blend that was closer to natural seawater and it was just what I needed. I switched from Instant Ocean to Fritz Pro and will not be going back. The batches are more homogeneous, pH, Alk and Cal are very well balanced. I found that Instant Ocean was much higher in terms of alkalinity and calcium than I would like, while Fritz is perfect with 420 calcium and DKh between 7.2 and 7.8.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Piggy bank price

Big improvement over the old salt mix

Switching from my old salt to this one was a great choice. I haven't had any problems with chemical spikes. My values stayed the same during the changeover. Follow the directions and you won't get any rain. I mix with a 5 gallon bucket and it's clear in about 15 minutes. I add the heater after it's cleaned up and when it's warmed up it's ready to use. The aquarium looks better and the corals look very nice. Really expands and the colors popped out.

Pros
  • One year try
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

I have Fritz RPM about 4 years with lasting results. I have recommended this salt to other crafters in the past. Just bought a £55 box and it mixes up randomly. I have tested very accurate measurements of water and salt with both RODI and distilled water (both 0 TDS at neutral pH at 76°F) and additional Alk readings in the low ranges of 7.x dKH (Hanna's test + Salifert tests) obtained higher than normal specific gravity values (1.026) on the refractometer. The remaining parameters are within…

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • There are nuances

Fantastic salt especially for mixed reef

I was excited to try the very popular salt blend with my mixed reef. I used regular Red Sea salt which I bought pre-mixed at my local fish store until I bought my own rodi. The salt arrived quickly and intact. It contained one large bag of salt instead of several smaller bags, which I believe are intended to help counteract settling and product inhomogeneity. Fritz claims they grind the particles to a uniform size so this isn't necessary, but I took the bag out of the box and rolled it around…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not bad
