Good filter. but the seal is 1960's technology and the OEM seal should be rubber with metal seals coming from the factory. I had to go to my local parts store and pay an extra $20 to get a gasket that doesn't leak and doesn't require sealant.

quality of the filter, but the old filter material looked like a sponge. I reused the original gasket because this honky is like a thick and thick 1/4 thick rubber. I wouldn't bet my car's life on a replacement gasket that was flimsy and silly in nature.

Original GM seal is so much better I had to reuse it. The filter is ok, looks like a stock GM. There's a reason the standard GM gasket is so expensive, it's made of metal covered in rubber or silicone. I would definitely recommend buying this filter but use the cork seal at your own discretion or risk. The next day I removed mine and reinstalled the original GM gasket.

This filter looks the same as the factory installed ACDelco OEM filter. The gasket supplied is labeled "UltraCork" and is an unreinforced flat rubber gasket stamped from a single sheet of material. It installed and worked perfectly, I don't know why they made a stupid attempt to make it look like cork by mixing brown and black material with the sheet it was cut from.
