Keeps exactly what it promises

actually holds more than it promises. According to the product information, the maximum resolution and refresh rate is 2560x1600 at 60Hz. But mine overclocks to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz with no modifications or software fixes. Not that I really need it to work with 4k60, I was just pleasantly surprised that I got more than what I paid for.

Pros
  • glitters
Cons
  • for old

We use many of these units at work for computers that are rack mounted without a monitor (no monitor) but are taking full advantage of their internal graphics cards for GPU processing and rendering have to. They work very well. They make the computer think a 1080p monitor is connected so it can take full advantage of the graphics cards.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Available in black only

Great inexpensive solution

I stream videos using OBS. I needed a way to make the program think there was a second screen so I could trick the program into using it. This works great with my GTX 1660. I have 1 HDMI for my display and then use it in one of the other 3 displayports as a secondary display. The program thinks it's a full 1920x1080 screen and displays it with no problems and I can use OBS to view my second screen. A great way to trick your computer.

Blue Iris PC now uses Intel hardware acceleration

There were problems getting Blue Iris to render video clips without blurring on a headless PC system. I installed the monitor and everything was fine. Hardware acceleration disabled and everything was fine. Keep a headless PC (i.e. no monitor) with Intel hardware acceleration enabled, install this Fueran DP into one of the display ports on the back of my PC and it works! Pooh! Been trying to figure this out for a while.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Great for streaming PC games without a desktop monitor on

I started using GeForce Experience and Moonlight to stream PC games to my Android devices and Android TV but I was annoyed by the need to waste power for monitor always on when I wanted to do it. With this device, I just plug it in, tell Windows to duplicate the displays, and the PC monitor works as usual when I'm at the computer, but I don't have to keep the monitor on when I'm broadcasting around the PC House to other rooms or devices.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not the best

Troubleshooting suitable for accessories and consumables

I have an old Lenovo computer that I use to cache software updates and record OTA (over the air) videos. He's sitting in a hole in the wall (literally) in the hallway upstairs. The problem was that I always had to connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse for it to boot. It will not start without a connected display. Problem solved. Now he only has two cables: Ethernet and power. I use "No Machine" to remotely control my Linux OS and I can select any resolution from 640x480 to 3840x2160 (it has…

A simple solution to managing a headless computer

I use Screenconnect to manage my customers' servers and workstations. Some of them are headless, and that's what this review aims to do. In most cases there's no problem, but I've found that some Lenovo PCs when headless behave weirdly with the screen connection when I can connect to the machine but only see a blank gray screen. This little adapter solves the problem. Strange that I don't need that at Dell or HP. Lenovo only. But whatever. Now I know I need to keep a few of these adapters in my

Does not work for ALL DisplayPort connectors

If your DisplayPort does not support HDMI/DVI and HDMI/DVI adapters, then this EDID emulator is also not supported. I wish I had known that before buying. I bought two of these for different computers. Both computers work with DisplayPort monitors. One works perfectly. On the other hand, DisplayPort doesn't work with my HDMI adapter. It also doesn't recognize this EDID emulator at all. I noticed that the computer running it shows the fake monitor as a "DVI-D" monitor and not a DisplayPort…

Great for remote desktop, requires external settings to reach 4k60fps

Update: If you are using an Nvidia GPU, is there a way to force it to use the resolution and framerate you want in the custom resolution settings. I was able to get it to work at 4k60hz or 1440p 120hz and it ran fine and didn't melt, so I'd recommend it for high res/high framerate if you want to play around with the settings a bit. Be sure to check the chart provided before purchasing - this works great at tricking your computer into thinking a 1080p 60Hz display is connected, but any higher…
