Good filter good price

I've had other MAF1 filters that didn't hold up and didn't pass other moisture well. These filters were sturdy enough to stand upright and hold their shape even when wet. And the wick is enough for a month or for an endurance run.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • unreliable

Don't Wick for Humidifier Parts & Accessories

They look great and fit perfectly but don't absorb water. I installed them and watered or soaked them before installing and they briefly raise the humidity and then the humidity drops and the humidifier starts to run consistently. I check the wick and everything above the waterline is dry.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Doesn't fit all

The filter didn't absorb water

The filter only effectively absorbed water for a day or two. After that, the humidifier didn't use any water at all. We even used zip ties to close the gap at the filter port. With other filters we've used, closing the gap has greatly improved the efficiency of the humidifier. We used this product in a Kenmore humidifier.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Took less than 2 weeks!

Bought these to try because they save money compared to aircare pads. Aircare pads are 1 inch thick and Futureway pads are 3/4 inch thick. So I should get 75% of what the originals took. These pads lasted 12 days which is generous. I will pay extra for aircare pads as 2-3 of them last as long as the others. I will not buy again!

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Not sure

Poor Quality: Humidifier Parts & Accessories

I have always used the original Aircare MAF-1 filter for my humidifier, but the seller I buy them from recently increased the price so I decided to giving away these cheaper filters. to attempt. I have very hard water and the Aircare filter usually only lasts about a month before minerals appear in it. This filter stopped absorbing moisture due to mineral buildup in less than two weeks! It's thin and of poor quality. I will not buy again.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Expensive

Strange Instructions - Parts and Accessories

Instructions say 'soap filter in cold water before installation'. This is in contrast to the 15 year installation of this type of humidifier filter. I've tried everything from searching the manufacturer's website to contacting Revain for help. None of them could help me understand this instruction #1. Even if it meant soaking instead of soap, it still doesn't make sense. If you soak it in cold water, it will become soft and very difficult to install properly. I haven't used them yet; so I can't

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Upgrades
