Description of 🎵 FX AUDIO Box 02 Phono Preamp Low Noise Gain Gear - Turntable Phonograph Preamplifier with 12V Power Supply, RCA Input Output - HiFi Pre-Amp for Phono MM MC DC

【MM MC Phono Preamp with Great Playability】 It can be used for MM and MC phono. Please confirm the cartridge of your phono turntable before purchasing. This phono preamplifier has two functions: to equalize the RIAA equalization curve, and to amplify the output level of MM/ MC to achieve the function of signal amplification, and supply to the player. This preamp has a lot of playability, MM/ MC mode selection, gain setting, captance and impedance setting. 【MM/MC & Gain Setting】 The gain switch and MM/MC setting is at the bottom. Switch 1 indicates MC mode and Switch 1 off indicates MM mode. Switch 2 and 3 on at the same time means the left and right channels are increased by 6dB in high gain mode, while Switch 2 and 3 off indicates low gain mode. 【Adjustable Captance and impedance】 Captance and impedance is chooseale. Switch 1/2/3 on indicates corresponding captance 51R/ 910R/ 1K. Switch 4/ 5/ 6 on indicates corresponding impedance 240PF/ 120PF/ 100PF. If you are not familiar with the setting of capacitive reactance and impedance, turn off all captance and impedance. (Recommended for MC cartridge.). 【Connection Guide】 Phono preamp has RCA input and output which can be connected to vinyl record turntable which are without built-in preamplifier as input, and connected to a power amplifier or left and right channel active speakers as output. (Note: it is not allowed to connect the passive speaker directly. DC 12V 1A power supply and RCA cable comes with package. It must be used with the power amplifier.) The GND terminal connecting the ground wire of the phonograph. 【Extremely Low Noise】 The turntable uses high quality low noise and low distortion op amp chip NJM2068 and TL071, adopts aluminum alloy metal oxidation sandblast shell, internal high-quality positive and negative power circuit design which can filter interference, improve sound quality and reduce noise, high precision low noise metal film resistor, black gold sinking craft PCB board which has good impact resistance, moisture resistance and high temperature resistance.

Great price, works great.

Excellent value for money. Allowed me to connect my player to my home theater via the CD input as it didn't have a traditional phone connection.

Plug and play upgrade replacement.

Replaces a similar phono stage and has great volume and excellent fidelity. Best of all, Revain Prime delivered it just in time for my wife to enjoy her historic Christmas vinyl collection.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Expandable

FX Audio Pre Amp in Preamps

Good quality, boosts the sound of my old JVC player, easy volume control with my Sony amp/receiver. Some feedback through the speakers when changing albums, but not when playing. We are completely satisfied with this product.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Great value: preamp

Looks and sounds like a high quality $100 preamp for my turntable, but works great for only $34. No controls just a preamp which I can now use to listen to old LPs and they magically sound a lot better than the outdated low sample rate CDs used today. The plug takes up two spaces on the extension but is otherwise perfect.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Not the best

Very good device for the price!

For this price, the device is excellent! Good sound quality and amplification. The block is very strong and durable. On the negative side: No volume control (this wasn't a problem as I use it with Bose PC speakers with built in volume controls or with my Pioneer receiver). The power supply didn't work out of the box either. Luckily I had an AC adapter on hand, which saved me from having to return it. I wouldn't call this a showstopper as the functionality and durability of this device puts the…

Looks good for the money

Build quality is good for the money. Love the fact that you can adjust gain and capacitance which makes a huge difference with my pickup (Goldring). The device was quiet and had a good PCB layout. The case is not heavy, but sufficient. I would have liked the extra cord length on the AC power adapter. While I thought it was good value for money, I wanted something more in terms of fidelity. I ended up buying a MOON preamp through Revain and am happy with it, but I had to add about $400 to the…

Seems to be having some quality control issues

Determined to dust off my old 70's Harman Kardon ST5 turntable to listen to my extensive vinyl collection that was tucked away in my basement. Since modern amplifiers do not have low level phono stages, a preamplifier is needed. I chose this FX Audio device based on the reviews. I was initially impressed with the gain and sound quality, but over the course of a few weeks the left channel output volume slowly decreased and this had to be compensated for by adjusting the balance of the main amps.

Pros
  • Preamp
Cons
