This is not the fundamental frequency of 1600 MHz.

So the highest "standard" RAM bar is 1600 MHz. That's not it. This is a stick of 1333MHz RAM overclocked to 1600MHz and needs to be unlocked via the XMP profile on the motherboard. This is not a plug and play 1600MHz. So if you open CPU ID or equivalent software and don't understand why your clock speed is 1333 instead of 1600 (technically you'll be running on half of each of the two channels), it's because you need to enable XMP in the BIOS. This should be SPECIFICALLY stated as many people do

It just works

I have a rudimentary knowledge of BIOS settings and I think it would have helped with the install, but to get the most out of this RAM it was just a matter of plugging it in, clicking the XMP selector and booting . It just worked. It's not the best price for DDR3 RAM, but my first (cheapest) choice saved the hardware from failing. This one did it on first boot. My old LGA1155 motherboard is now 32GB max. Aside from a complete overhaul of my system, I couldn't be happier. Definitely recommend…

Good quality, could be overclocked to 2000MHz

I've been using an ASRock Z68 Fatal1ty Gen3 Pro motherboard and an Intel 3770K (4.4GHz) processor for almost 10 years with no problems, and the RAM is Mushkin uses DDR3 Redline 2400MHz for the first 5 years. Computer Components Worth Every Penny

Combined with ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 and FX6300. The memory works perfectly with the rest of the parts. The XMP profile for DDR3-1600 operation is detected in the settings and I immediately set it up with that profile. This is RAM. It works. It came in retail box. at 1600MHz; before you complain that it's 1333 -MHz RAM, go into the BIOS settings and indeed check it, tune it right and you can squeeze every last drop of performance if your bios supports intel xmp (interestingly the bios on my system is AMD based) you can out of it get the correct stats, otherwise it takes a bit of trial and error.
