🚛 Gabriel G63673 White Ultra Truck Shock, Pack of 8 Review

Ordered four shock absorbers, three are excellent but the fourth shock absorber had the wrong size bushing. I was having trouble getting a bolt into the shock and removed it to find the top hub was too small. The bolts are 9/16 and the bushing is about 1/2. I was able to take a tapered pry bar and hammer in the bushing to expand it to just the right size to install the shock without waiting for a replacement. should have known better low price 24.00 each packaging was lousy both had some sticky residue on it and the boxes they came in looked like they were them in a damp basement. Installation was excruciating as the designer chose NOT to put a wrench on top of the damper. Under where it and the hub go, I had to use a vise on the upper threaded rod to keep the shock from rotating when I tightened the upper hub nut. It was supposed to be a 10 minute job, but it ended up being a 30 minute job. Work…

I just bought these Gabriel Ultra shocks (G63673 and G63662) for my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 4x4. After installing the dampers, I took the truck for a test drive and it drives terribly. Now it's much worse than with the old shock absorbers. I hear a rattle/clatter while driving and the wheels rattle over small bumps. So much so that driving on the freeway is scary. Big bump performance is better than older shock absorbers. When I drive through a dip at an angle, the truck bounces much less than…
