Solid Shocks - Shocks

I bought two front shocks from Gabriel because my 91" Nissan d21 CD player was leaking. There are no more jumps and my steering wheel drifts less. Solid replaceable shock absorbers.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Almost never

Gabriel shock absorber components

Did not buy for my use. The user found that the items were correct in size and load capacity. Installation was easy with the usual difficulties of weather and elements affecting the bolts.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Short instructions

Can make good bookends

Installed on 2004 Nissan Frontier King Cab I could tell the original shock absorbers were replaced but these Gabriels are of poor quality and offer little use, especially when only 100-200 pounds up are in bed.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • High price

I just replaced them with softer mid-range Monroe OESpectrum shocks and now my truck is running smooth again. I don't recommend them for any application: heavy duty, off-road, heavy-duty transportation, or…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

It does the job for shock absorbers, struts and suspension

Replaced worn out, non-working and most likely original shock absorbers on my recently purchased 1990 Isuzu Amigo 4x4 with 116,000 miles. Since it's high enough off the ground, didn't I want or need to pick it up and spend more coins unnecessarily? It's just a carriage and didn't need to be powered up, so I chose a name that the industry trusts. In connection with replacing shocks, I upgraded the anti-roll bar bushings to polymer bushings, so the difference in handling is obvious. The car…
