Does not hold a CAT harness.

I know the description doesn't say it's possible. But he won't be able to hold the CAT harness. It looks and feels good like all Gallo ankle products.

High Quality Sport Strap

I have been using this Galco Ankle Strap for over four years. I use this strap almost every day as a LEO. I've only bought two in the last seven years where I wear handcuffs and a knife on my ankle. Sometimes I swap the knife for an extra magazine. Easily fits double or single stack Glock magazines. Five stars.

Everything is OK. the best in the sport

I have several Galco holsters and was disappointed with the quality of this holster. This is not the high performance neoprene they typically use. Second, the magazine belt is not adjustable. It will not fit in most concealed carry magazines as it is too large. Also, none of the pockets close, so your stuff gets thrown around when in use with minimal activity (consider taking the stairs down). Given the poor design, the price is too high.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived

The new neoprene version is nowhere near as good as the previous versions

I have been using the Galco Cop Ankle Safe for about 6 years. I really liked it but after 6 years of normal wear and tear I decided it was time to replace it. This new neoprene version is not as good as its previous stretch material version. Neoprene just doesn't hold the contents very securely. I want Galco to go back to the old version. It held everything much more securely and I never had to worry about something falling out while walking.

  • Alright!

Convenient and works

This guy solved some EDC problems I had, too many things and not enough pockets. I carry a spare magazine, a fixed blade knife (with Ulticlip) and a Kevlar line. I also sometimes carry a mini-ifac (pads, gauze, tape, nustat, all wrapped tightly in a 3-inch koban). It doesn't stretch between stores of different sizes, of course it would be nice to have a zipped pocket but I like the way it looks now and if you want the pocket can easily be velcroed. I would buy it again and again after trying…

I wanted to like it, I really did

I wanted to like it, I really did. But after a few days I personally experienced what others have complained about. There are two compartments. One comes with a strap that can be adjusted with Velcro for a custom fit. The other, larger compartment is the real problem. Most elegant leather wallets or loan cases slip out easily. Tension is light and there is no friction to hold items in place. If Galco is listening, perhaps some grippy material sewn into the compartments and a firmer grip…

  • Ideal for outdoor activities

Surprisingly convenient

When I travel, I depend on cash and several credit cards. In the past I've kept surplus in my car's glove box, but I've always worried that if the car gets stolen I'll REALLY get in trouble. I saw this product from Galco while looking at their holsters. I bought it on the spot, "knowing" that it would be a necessary inconvenience that I would just have to put up with. NOT CORRECT! After the first few hours of the first day, and after the first five minutes of each subsequent day, I forget it…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • There are nuances

Lifespan for everyday use is a godsend; 1st Gen vs 2nd Gen

this is my second purchase; a backup of my first ankle safe that I used as an EDC for a flashlight (4"L x 2"D; 1 AA battery) and a pair of medical gloves that I keep in a zippered pocket. 1-2 times a week when I need to use the Galco Ankle Glove on the other leg (like with business attire), I carry the gloves in my suit pocket and use the Ankle Safe as a double-stack spare magazine. In my experience, carrying gloves and a magazine in the same pocket of the ankle safe during normal walking will…
