Description of Gallon ShieldPro Ziplock Mylar Storage

Best in class 18"x28" 5.25 Mil ShieldPro Mylar Bags. Ziplock for temporary protection, heat sealable above the ziplock for the best long-term storage. Store up to 35lbs of rice or wheat, 30lbs or beans, or 15lbs of oats per bag. Includes ShieldPro information sheet included for use with the bags. Please note misinformation about pinholes. Pinholes do NOT prevent bags from sealing. These bags are 5 layers, pinholes are tiny spots where aluminum foil has come unstuck between the other 4 layers; they are NOT punctures penetrate through a bag. They do not impact shelf life, and your bags are still airtight. All Mylar bags, from the lightest 2.5 mil bags to the heaviest 7.5 mil bags will have pinholes. Even putting your food in a Mylar bag causes pinholes, it is normal and expected.

Do not buy defective bags with holes!

They look like good bags but 8 out of 10 bags came with small holes that let light through. So I'm not entirely sure about the durability. The seller included a documented statement of defense showing that Mylar bags were not damaged when folded and I had no reason to dispute his claim. However, my bag arrived damaged. I wouldn't care how or why they got damaged, but they're useless with holes. Perhaps the effort put into the previous protection could have been better spent on better handling…

We Stock Dog Food In These

Buy a sealed 5 gallon container and fill it with these Mylar Dog Food Storage Bags. Change after every 2-3 packs of dog food so that the oils that escape from the food do not go rancid. Without this liner, you have to spend an exorbitant amount of time washing the containers each month. And if not, the old, rancid residue of oil will spoil the new food. That's why your dog may only like his food for the first day or two after opening a new packet and then stop - a sure sign that your new food…

I didn't listen to other reviews and paid for it.

This product is probably great and does what it says on the tin except that it comes folded which creates tight creases. As a result, each of the bags had holes and was therefore completely unusable. I was really hoping there would only be one or two of these, but both packs I ordered had EVERY holes along those folds. However, in trying to make the most of it by sealing the bottom lane, he doesn't think much of anything at all. Maybe goods per gallon. Save money. I wrote this to help you, dear
