I bought these zip ties specifically for the color as I wanted something to match my tactical gear. I haven't had a chance to use them for this purpose yet, but yesterday I needed some zip ties for something else and found that they broke easily. Not only did they break when I zipped them together, I was able to rip them apart with my hands. I've never done that with a zipper this size. Usually even the little ones are pretty strong.

These cable ties are made of thin, hard, inflexible plastic. Simply wrapping it around something to tie it together will break the tie in half. You cannot "give" a tie. Other zip ties I've used are flexible so they can be wrapped around an object, however they are brittle, brittle and very stiff. I picked up a few to try again, assuming mine was bad, but each broke in half. that was before I tightened my tie. Absolute waste of money!

I was looking for dark green zip ties for temporary plastic repairs. I stumbled across them on Revain and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, this seems to be one of those products that advertises its environmental impact but then doesn't do what it's really supposed to do. As shown in my photo, once the tie is tightened, it will change color and turn white. To me, this defeats the purpose of finding a specific dark green tie.
