Mile Marker - Sports & Handheld GPS

I love my Gamin Forerunner 235 PGS running watch. I want to know how fast/slow I am running. I want to know what my running/resting heart rate is. I also want to know how much I sleep. It's a little toy that controls my active life.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Running speed

Amazing watch. ⌚ - Working GPS Modules

The watch is amazing, I got it for Father's Day and when it arrived it only had a Revain box and a watch box which I like to help the environment and who is able to are doing things he can willed and done. Overall, this is a very capable, stylish, and travel-friendly watch.

Good watch for the money

This is my first smartwatch/fitness watch with GPS. Not a ton of options. There are decent tracking records with the Connect app. All in all, if you're not looking for something that can't do any of that and just want some basic info on heart rate, steps, sleep tracking, and activity, this will work just fine.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • expensive

Heart rate seems ok except sport

Sleep tracking is ok. Tracks a little but probably because I'm very relaxed in the evenings. The pedometer is accurate. Embarrassingly, the heart rate monitor is insanely high during exercise. I check my heart rate and it's around 86-90 even though Garmin says my heart rate is 130-140. And when I take the watch off it still shows 130 seconds for over 2 minutes. I usually have to reset my watch to get my heart rate back.

The first impression seems cool, but not very much.

This is a rather expensive watch, not that pleasant to the touch, to use or to look at. This is a fairly expensive heart rate monitor that is accurate enough for its purpose. The cool thing is that it has built-in GPS, which is handy for measuring distance and updating the watch automatically. The buttons get pressed by the sleeve of my coat or pinched by my body when I wear the display on the inside of my wrist. This causes it to do activities like running and embarrassing or annoying beeps…

Awesome running watch

It's only been a few days but I still love this running/smart watch. GPS, running accuracy and pace time work very well. Instantly test the accuracy of the heart rate monitor (on the wrist) and sleep study. Let's see how long the battery lasts this week on an initial charge. This will be my everyday watch and from what I've read it should be very durable (really affordable watch compared to other smartwatches like Apple, Fitbit etc. This is a competitive advantage).

Pros
  • AUDIO TIPS. Receive audio prompts from your connected smartphone that include laps and lap times.
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Worth the money spent!

The Garmin 235 is a great watch. I researched many hours before making this purchase and I don't regret it one bit! They're lightweight, waterproof, and have heart rate tracking (exactly what I wanted in a watch), accurately track your mileage and even cadence, and also track your sleep. It is compatible with my iPhone which seamlessly brings all my messages and call notifications to my wrist. This is a GPS device and I absolutely recommend this watch to everyone!

Pros
  • LARGE SCREEN - 44% larger screen than the 225 but same physical size.
Cons
  • Periodicity

Heart rate drops unexpectedly

The heart rate monitor almost never works the same way twice. Sometimes if you turn the watch off and then turn it on and then start it up and wait for it to stop blinking, it's accurate. Other times it starts at 155 even though my heart rate is 60. Other times it starts very high and then eventually kicks in after the first 10-12 minutes. Since I really only want the lap time and heart rate at the end of the lap, that's not good. GPS works well, quite adequately. Wouldn't buy again. It was a…
