I need a car charger for my BMW Navigator V (5) and I see no excuse for a BMW OEM product to cost much more than $100 , if it appears consist of this item and the charger. I bought this item and mount (Garmin Automotive Suction Cup) for less than $50 and they work great and look like they should be there.

Picture and description show Garmin MiniUSB cable. The title of the ad says MicroUSB which I can't use or need. I thought I'd order a cable based on the picture and description. Obviously this seller doesn't know the difference between the two as they are not interchangeable. In the photo, on the left is the "Micro" cable and on the right is the "Mini" cable shown and described.

Garmin told me it was 7ft long so I decided to order from Revain and it was only 3ft long so I had to return it and of course only got a partial credit. I ordered it for an elderly friend so my GPS could connect to my computer and was a surprise to find out that Garmin was giving me the wrong information when I specifically told them what I needed and the part number received.

The cable in the box is not the same as the photo. It doesn't fit my Nuvi 500, I just learned the hard way what "MicroUSB" is. There are not enough photos of plugs here to make the right purchase decision. The sales page did not contain a list of compatible products. There are no instructions or contact information for "Warranty" on the box. This product is a lie and should be withdrawn from sale. Garmin sucks because it only includes a charging cable and doesn't tell you what you need for data

The new Garmin NUVI GPS Navigators use a small micro USB connector for computer interface that can be difficult to find. Garmin ships a very short 1.5 foot cable in the retail box, which severely limits the distance from the USB connection to the computer. The shorter cable is usually fine for a laptop, but it's too short for most desktops, even those with front USB ports. Garmin should have provided this longer (3ft) USB cable in the retail box rather than aftermarket charging it as overpriced

The description does not match what I received. My particular Garmin (nüvi 3590) actually uses two cables: a mini-USB (which is a bog standard that comes with almost every USB hard drive these days and is used to power the device, just like the power cord you plug into yours vehicle) and a micro USB (which is smaller and only used to update the nüvi by connecting it to a computer). The cable received does not match the photo or the illustration on the box. In particular, there is no ferrite bead and the connectors are different. I suspect a scam as it only takes up a third of the box and the cable diameter is about a third smaller than the original Garmin cable I replaced. Although the "Garmin" name is printed on one end of the cable, it does not have the Garmin sticker that Garmin data cables typically have.
