Ready to use right out of the box

A MAJOR update to my Striker 4. Plug and play, done. Definitely an improvement over the stock converter that comes with the Striker 4. Works just like traditional stock turn signals. If it's within your budget, buy one of these transducers if you only have a standard sonar. More affordable than Vex or Marcum or similar depth finders/fish finders. Will not empty your bank account.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Can't remember

Ice fishing is a must!

Bought for my Garmin Striker 4 ice fish finder. It is a "must have" for ice fishing! The Striker 4 has a flasher, but the Garmin A-Scope is really cool! A-Scope is "real-time" sonar, just like you see a fish on a flasher, but in a vertical column with a Panoptix-style image! The Garmin Striker 4 also has GPS, so there's a clock on the screen and you can save your fishing spot with just the push of a button. The Garmin GT8 Converter turns your Garmin fish finder into an ice fishing machine! 🎣

Pros
  • Beautifully packaged
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Arrived FAST! suitable for the Striker4 echo sounder!

arrived much earlier than expected (no complaints) it fits Garmin Striker 4 fish finder (4 pins)! I can't say if it really works for ice fishing in the water as there is no ice in my area yet. like a short cable, much better than the mirror clamp I used! I am very happy with this purchase and I am sure it will work well. I think the Garmin Striker 4 fish finder is underrated! I've been using mine on ice and kayaking for the past 3 years and I absolutely love it! The GPS is pretty easy to use…

Works with Echomap Plus 73sv with CHIRP

I bought this portable fishing kit to be able to transfer my EchoMap Plus 73sv from boat to boat (boat and rental) with CHIRP. As another user noted, it's a bit convenient to pack and store away. When the case is used and unpacked, it works very well. I didn't have to drill anything to get the EchoMap Plus 73sv working with this kit and bought a slightly larger battery (10Ah) to be safe on day trips. One of the problem areas for me was where the handle connects to the base, they come with a…

Works with my Garmin EchoMap 73sv with CHIRP but needs an adapter cable.

I bought this along with handheld kit 010-12462-00 to use my Garmin EchoMap 73sv with CHIRP for ice fishing but note you can also buy Garmin 010-11948-00 with 4 -pin ice sensor adapter cable and 8 pin to 12 pin adapter cable 010-12122-10 for it to work. I've spent hours learning what it takes to convert an EchoMap to ice fishing with CHIRP and wanted to save you the hassle I had to do. I originally set up my EchoMap with the converter that came with it, but had trouble getting it into the hole…
