Seriously, this thing STAYS where you put it. I applied a thin layer of moisture (bottle water) to the cup and applied it to the windshield. The suction power was incredible and the lever drive had yet to be used! Quality construction and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

I really liked it at first. Lasted about a month with no problems. After that, it stopped sucking and fell off my windshield after a few minutes. ;( I'll buy another one and see what happens when I take it off after each usr and see if it doesn't break so quickly.

The suction cup was deformed and didn't stick to the window, luckily I ordered it for assembly, not for the suction cup. Definitely overpriced if the suction cup deforms. I only recommend buying if you already have a suction cup, if you need both, order elsewhere.

I purchased this item in August 2019 to replace the original Garmin suction cup mount. This expensive replacement has worked satisfactorily for several months, but now in January 2020 it no longer fits properly on my windshield. The suction cup mount became very weak, sometimes falling off the windshield within an hour of attaching it.

This is exactly the original bracket and shell that came with the GPS unit. That's a few dollars cheaper than buying directly from Garmin. Being original, it has the same problems as a suction cup, which cannot tolerate high humidity and/or high temperatures. It is recommended not to leave it in the window when not in use, in hot/humid climates or on long journeys, and to check from time to time that the connection (to the window) is still secure.
