Great GPS mount for GPS system accessories

Perfect stable mount for my Garmin Montana 610t GPS on my mountain bike handlebars. Less expensive and more durable than other brand mounts. Easily releases the GPS when I need to carry it to a cache or waypoint.

Pros
  • Outstanding design
Cons
  • Minor issues

Well done, very helpful.

Very good fit. I currently have it on my snowmobile mountain belt and it works great. This summer I'm going to get on a mountain bike. No problem. Installs quickly, stays in place and holds the GPS in place with the tool provided, but remains secure without locking the mount.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Useless functions

Not suitable for new Garmin Montana 700i, 700 or 750 with 5 inch screens.

This product with part number 0101165407 does not fit the new Garmin Montana 700i! This only applies to old 4" Montana models, not newer 5" Montana screens. It even came with 4 inch screen protectors which would have been a nice surprise if I had a 4 inch screen. This was the only problem. Look for PART NUMBER 010-12881-01 for the new 5" 700 Series. This is from the Garmin website where I just ordered one. (Had to send this particular instance back.)

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not the best

Works well but overpriced

Works well but too expensive. There is another handlebar mount for them, but it wobbles too much due to the weight of the Montana. Note that this is not possible for an external owner, so the Montana runs on internal batteries. If you have multiple connected ANT devices displaying 24k topography or a custom map background and 100% backlight (required for direct sunlight), the included battery will last up to 3 hours. Using three AA batteries will last longer. There is another mount for using an

One very clever feature should be noted - the diagonal.

One very clever thing is that the diagonal length of the four screws that attach the Garmin stand to the Garmin mount matches the screw pattern that RAM uses for its ball mounts. I was able to remove the four screws, separate the Garmin stand from the Garmin mount, and screw the 1" RAM ball mount back to the back of the Garmin stand (screwed through the top left and bottom right holes) to make it possible war Used with other RAM products. I didn't want to use a RAM cradle on my Garmin 680t…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • There are flaws

Standard AMPS mount for Garmin Montana or Montera handheld GPS navigators. It carries 2.5mm mono audio and a few power wires from the battery mount, audio port etc. This is my third one and they are all very easy to install, just screw them onto the ram mount or whatever you like use as a base and you're done. I've installed them semi-permanently on two Tiger 800s and an ATV and they work great even in vertical rain, like the other day my son and I ran the pair with no problems. the box is…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Modern

Ideal for GPS system accessories

It's very large compared to the mount I used on the 76csx, redesigned a bit for Montana but certainly fit for the job. Incidentally, the box also contained a 3-pack of Montana anti-glare films, which were not mentioned in the product description. Update: The provision of a locking device seemed a bit odd as the mount itself is secured with 2 easily accessible knurled nuts. A thief can remove both the GPS and mount in less than a minute. I replaced the wing nuts with 4mm nylon-insert locknuts…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.
