One very clever feature should be noted - the diagonal.

One very clever thing is that the diagonal length of the four screws that attach the Garmin stand to the Garmin mount matches the screw pattern that RAM uses for its ball mounts. I was able to remove the four screws, separate the Garmin stand from the Garmin mount, and screw the 1" RAM ball mount back to the back of the Garmin stand (screwed through the top left and bottom right holes) to make it possible war Used with other RAM products. I didn't want to use a RAM cradle on my Garmin 680t because of the roller popping reports. This Garmin stand is SOLID. Garmin stand for RAM mount.
