I want another one just like that!

I want another one like this! I know people use google maps for everything now but I can tell you this Garmin nuvi works great. I particularly liked the speedometer app. My car's speedometer stopped working while on vacation and to my surprise Garmin was very helpful with driving and helping me to stay within the speed limit.

Mexico Maps for GPS, Search Engines and Accessories

I bought this thinking it couldn't find where I lived in Texcoco and where my wife's parents live in a small area live in Cuautitlán. Both Izcallis are just a few kilometers from Mexico City. I put in the address of my mother-in-law's house and he found it straight away - I was really amazed. This thing will be great for getting around Mexico City - if you've ever been there you know how difficult it is to discern the city and your location. I only memorized a few routes and got lost a few…

Mexico maps are missing

This Garmin GPS was my choice as I live in Mexico and need a GPS to navigate urban areas. I had it for nine months.1. Maps of Mexico are about 85% accurate for major cities. Sometimes they try to steer you the wrong way on one-way streets and give you confusing directions at intersections. Some streets do not appear on the maps and the names are sometimes misspelled. Also, Mexican street names are often combinations of words, but Garmin can't figure out which street you need, even for major…

Used in Mexico for GPS, finders and accessories

The GPS works well and is easy to use, but in rural Mexico it's not as good as I had hoped. There are many roads that are not shown on the map and are major highways. The absence of these roads increased the travel time by 1/3 in several cases. This works very well for use in Mexican cities.

Traveling in Mexico

I live outside of Guadalajara. I bought it for an upcoming trip to Mexico. I recently used it on a trip to Guadalajara to see how it worked. We drove almost like I always do, which made me very happy. I also tried it on a short trip to a nearby town near Lake Chapala and it made me walk weird paths that I knew were wrong. So my opinion on how well this works in Mexico is still missing.

  • Good cause

Mexico maps are good for gps cars

I bought this one thinking I couldn't find where I lived in Texcoco and where my wife's parents live in a small area in Cuautitlán Izcalli, just a few kilometers from Mexico City. I put in the address of my mother-in-law's house and he found it straight away - I was really amazed. This thing will be great for getting around Mexico City - if you've ever been there you know how difficult it is to discern the city and your location. I've only memorized a few routes and got lost a few times - the…
