Perfect for eTrex20

Perfect for mounting the eTrex20 on my kayak. You must provide your own screws as the package I received did not have them.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Compatibility

Lubricate these threads

Works great on my Oregon 600. Use it on my kayak. If you're using it in saltwater we highly recommend putting a small amount of anti-seize lube on the threads and it will last all the way. This is my second. Unfortunately I forgot to tighten my first one before a long ride and it fell off.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • boring packaging

Weak and bad fit. Avoid

Very unreliable. I used it on my truck dashboard and it doesn't vibrate well. I had to file down the bracket rails that hold my inReach in place to install it and let it go without breaking. It weakens in the heat and I keep tightening the hinge handle. I got it working, but damn it, put some engineering into it, Garmin. Make it easy to use right away.

Pros
  • High support and durability ratings from testers
Cons
  • Poor performance

Almost perfect: GPS accessory

Good freedom of movement to achieve desired viewing position. The Colorado GPS Navigator is easy to assemble and disassemble, making it very secure once in place. I agree with others that using a good bit of double-sided weatherproof mounting tape is a good idea. I ended up buying a whole roll of expensive double-sided weatherproof tape just to use a few inches of tape. I didn't want to screw it into the dashboard of my new boat.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Empty

Compatible with inReach dash or boat mount

This is the same mount that Garmin sells in the inReach Marine Mini Kit. Works great attached to my dash with Gorilla Glue double sided tape. It keeps my mini Garmin inReach device in view of its satellites and is easily accessible from the driver's seat for SOS - and yes, I needed it. I love that I can just unscrew the mount from the base and lock it in the glove box along with the inReach when I get back to civilization.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Good but not the best

Super Sea Mount for my Oregon 400t - Tested in live fishing conditions

Bought for my Oregon 400t. I have used it on several fishing trips. The mount is small and compact. The device is easy to connect and disconnect. This is a super mountain. Holds the device securely. I install and remove the device with absolutely no problem. I recommend this mount for the Garmin GPS devices it was designed for. The device is securely locked and fixed. To remove the device from the mount, simply hold the lever on the back and slide the device up to release it. The block is veryโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Just What I Needed: GPS Accessory

I was looking for a way to mount an Oregon GPS on my truck dashboard while geocaching. I also wanted a permanent mount, this mount fitted the bill. The interface area on the back of the mount where it connects to the GPS is quite narrow, but I believe that's how it was designed as a marine mount. For my needs I wanted the GPS to be easy to remove so I took 2 small flat files, a heading and a thin file and then removed a small amount of material from the mount rail area until it joinedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Speed

LARGE BOAT MOUNT FOR ETREX 30

I use my eTrex 30 on a pontoon boat here in Florida when I hike around Tsala Apoca Lake and I'm tired of not having a fixed location or location for GPS Navigator. I knew I needed some kind of holder, but didn't want a rattle, windshield mount, or similar mount. I noticed this when researching Revain, but it didn't mention the latest eTrex 30 and it seems to have been for the Colorado series. After reviewing the Garmin website, they clearly stated that this unit fits many of their handheldโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic steering
