Some of my experiences.

I tried to test this watch on several mountain hikes, unfortunately I didn't have an accurate result even in altimeter mode, the Garmin MK1 measures almost 5-10 percent less than expected. at the top. I also tested 4 times in immersive mode, which drives me crazy in calibration mode the first time. Because this mode locks the entire system for 24 hours if you accidentally set it during a deep dive. The single gas mode and other functions of this dive computer are fine. Of course, I haven't…

Everything I hoped for!

The Garmin Descent does everything I hoped it would. It has successfully replaced my Fitbit, the app I used to track my bike rides, and my dive computer. The app is easy to use and the way the information is presented is very nice. The watch itself offers many customizable options and easily adapts to my tastes. There are a few things I would like to perfect, but most of them have to do with the application. Simple things like the ability to set a sleep goal or have the app calculate an…

i love this watch Battery life is excellent

I love this watch Battery life is excellent. Use them for golfing and scuba diving. The only downside I see is that the dive program activates at 4ft so swimming in the pool activates it. that works great.

Terrible software! Good battery life

I like Garmin but they need to hire people to make the software that much better! Many downloads are unavailable or do not work. The Garmin board does not work. I just use my old dive watch and buy a Fitbit heart rate monitor or an Apple Watch. It is very difficult to use this Garmin MK1 item. Also GPS and navigation are not good. To the little one. According to the list, the altimeter must be calibrated once a week. Very weak GPS signal in the building. There isn't even a GPS signal underwater

  • Electronics

  • Big and bulky

Good hardware user interface leaves something to be desired

Overall good watch and dive computer, but usability leaves something to be desired. Both on the device itself and in the application. The interface and usability are extremely unintuitive. It pains me to say this, but it looks like it was designed by engineers. And I'm an engineer. :-) It's very extensible, but the app developer community looks like a bunch of tinkerers. Compared to the everyday Fitbit Blaze, there's no comparison. The flame is much more convenient. A simple thing like waking…

This is the new standard in dive computer watches!

I've been looking for this watch since I started diving 25 years ago! The watch is exceptional, runs smoothly underwater, has very fast underwater updates for the computer and compass, and really knocks it out of the park with the GPS positioning for starting and ending dives. It tracks temperature, heart rate - along with all the other profile stuff. On the surface it's a great fitness watch too, again with the added benefit of GPS to track your workouts etc (as opposed to being on a remote…

Pros
