It worked, no more liquid came out.

Good quality parts in the installation pictures could be better. an earlier conversion had placed the seal in the wrong direction. the spring portion of the seal must face the gearbox.

Did not fit my 2002 Wrangler box.

This kit will NOT fit my 2002 Wrangler. The OD and ID of the seals were good, but the stack height of both seals, the Teflon washer and the steel washer, was too large for the steering box cavity (approximately 0.050 inch OHL). The Revain car choices say they fit, but the others I looked at did too, so I'm not sure if it's Revain's fault. I need to return my kit and buy a seal separately, SKF 12370, which replaces the seal I pulled from his steering box which had the part number 5683373 on it.

1997 C2500 Suburban 454

Not a bad setup. Remove the plastic cover from the fan/radiator that allowed access to the top of the steering box, making removing the old gaskets a lot less of a chore. Loosen the nut on the shaft, raise the front wheels off the ground, take out the drive shaft from the box, push out the lower oil seal, remove the snap ring, remove the old oil seal, clean and polish the hole and the Block the shaft with a 3M, reassemble, fill and bleed the system.
