Alternator Pulley Parts

A good pulley from a good manufacturer. Special tools are required to replace the pulley. The CTA 8088 tool offered by Revain is too long to use when the alternator is in the car.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Many things

Fixed belt noise. you need a special tool.

eliminated my belt noise. You need a special tool to remove it. I used it in an aftermarket 90 amp World Power Systems alternator. It even says "Made in Germany".

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • I vaguely remember that

Smooths out my TDI

I installed this on my 1996 and 1997 VW TDI (diesel) vehicles and it smoothed out the serpentine belt considerably. These cars came with a strong alternator pulley which was a direct fit and was a big improvement. The price can't be beat anywhere either. I highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive

Worked perfectly for my 96 Passat TDI

I had a regular inflatable tensioner and a squeaky serpentine belt. This fixed both the squeaking and the bouncing idler pulley. Perfect fit and well designed. I used anti-seize when installing and the old pulley comes off with a percussion gun and a light tap of a hammer.

Pros
  • Great price

A MUST for TDI owners! Excellent quality

Great dealer alternative, matches my 98 Jetta engine code AHU correctly, this car had a problem with not starting which I believe was caused by a crank sprocket which ended up falling out due to a strong alternator pulley , which transmits the impact via the V-ribbed belt. Luckily the grip nose was fine. Had this pulley been installed on this vehicle from day one and replaced at regular intervals or whenever the owner had noticed excessive belt vibration, the crankshaft sprocket problem could…

A MUST for TDI owners! Excellent Quality

Great dealer alternative, matches my 98 Jetta engine code AHU exactly, this car had a starting problem which I believe was caused by the crank sprocket falling out due to the durable alternator pulley over time. Transmission of the impact through a serpentine belt. Luckily the grip nose was fine. Had this pulley been installed on this vehicle from day one and replaced at regular intervals or whenever the owner had noticed excessive belt vibration, the crankshaft sprocket problem could have been
