Gates Micro-V Serpentine Drive Belt K070610 Review

Great for my wife's 2010 rx350. Probably fits most Toyota 3.5 liters. This stopped the chirping it had on startup. Now it is no longer necessary to replace the idler wheel or the tensioner. But it's kind of a pain to do. Need a longer 14mm open end for more leverage.

This strap performed better than the original Bando strap that originally came with the car. I freely admit that I am biased and generally prefer the Gates belt to most others. I've had bad experiences with other brands, especially Continental.

My ES 350 has done 83,000 miles and I noticed a squeak coming from the belts after driving about 40 minutes for the past few months. So the belt looked ok but still decided to replace it as it appeared there was some kind of glazing on the outside of the factory belt. It was a bit rough. The new belt eliminated the squeak. Pretty easy install about 20 minutes or so.

V-ribbed belt appears to be of good quality. This size worked well on my 2008 Toyota Highlander. There are videos online that explain how to change the belt. The exchange lasted about 20 minutes. Added a photo to compare belts. The belt on the left is the original 135,000 mile switchback belt. It could probably go another 30,000 miles but why risk it. The strap on the right is new. For the price it's worth it.

Fits my 2011 Sienna 3.5L V6 perfectly. Took less than an hour including removing and installing the passenger tire. I didn't do anything from above, but worked completely from the inside of the passenger wheel well. You can find the belt diagram on the net if you forgot to take a picture. Sometimes these tensioners have a way to lock them with an Allen wrench, but it was enough for me to simply slide the belt back onto the tensioner pulley while holding one hand with a 14mm combination wrench…
