Disappointing result from this tensioner

After trying this product on my automotive, I was quite disappointed with the result. The installation process was a hassle, and the tensioner was not as durable as I had hoped. However, it did provide a relatively affordable option compared to other products in the market. Unfortunately, the cons outweighed the pros in this case, and I ended up having to replace it shortly after installation.

Pros
  • Reliable and durable, designed for high-performance engines.
Cons
  • Requires specific tools for installation.

Excellent quality good for parts

My Isuzu Rodeo was rattling and I couldn't figure out why. Turns out the tensioner was bad for my timing belt so I replaced it and the noise was gone. Good product!

Pros
  • engine parts
Cons
  • not bad

This would work fine initially, but the piston is too short

I have a 94 Trooper with a 3.2 v6 engine. That would work fine initially, but the plunger is too short. I don't think the block is to blame. I think it will work with the old idler pulley. It's only 1/16 inch shorter, but that's enough to cause belt slap. I think the new belts are a lot thinner and the changes Isuzu made a few years ago removed the actual mechanical adjustment in the tension system. I was able to modify this tensioner by extending the holes from the piston end and JB welding…
