Not the best at rowing

I scratched the bottom of the kayak. Dealer recommended Gator Guard. I received it and followed the directions on the box exactly. It came out hard as a board. It did not bend to protect the keel. Leave in the hot sun as directed. It never connected. Useless. I returned it.

Don't buy from AMAZON, they sell, but then don't want to hear about it.

peeled off the next day, I could tell it wasn't sticking well, followed T's instructions. Contacted AMAZON, they told me they are not there, contact the manufacturer? I bought it from AMAZON, DO NOT BUY THIS FROM AMAZON as they do not provide customer service.

Difficult to work Sport

This product is difficult to work, especially around the keels - large creases. I guess I'll use gorilla tape to hold the rear keel curve in place. I think it might be ok if you have a leak in the wide flat part of the kayak but that's about it. Not worth the price. I have a plastic kayak so it should work fine but it doesn't.

I hope I didn't completely mess up my kayak.

Advertised for use as a keel protector. Don't like corners. The fibers separate. Had I known this, I would have made significant changes to the product before using it. However, given the limited time use of the product without packaging, this would not be an easy situation. I wish the company would post some decent tutorial videos with different styles of keels as good examples.

UPDATED REVIEW. GOOD NEWS. Didn't stick to the keel of the kayak

I contacted the manufacturer and they immediately sent me a replacement block, I installed it and it works! Their national sales manager contacted me and I was very happy with the follow up! I followed the excellent instructions and watched online videos and the stuff didn't stick to the keel. I am a builder and repairer and am familiar with epoxies etc. I had my doubts about this product and was so hoping that it would stick and protect my keel but it didn't.

APPLY THE PATCH AT NIGHT.

One thing I've never mentioned is how FAST this thing starts to harden in direct sunlight. Seconds, literally seconds out, and the uncured, unpeeled patch became noticeably stiffer right out of the box. Beware of reflected sunlight, even if you are in the shade this thing will start healing immediately. Working in daylight is enough to start curing and make it harder to contour your boat.
