Okay I bought this fan to cool my router for my engineering department, we test products and test them in extreme conditions! I use this fan on my Nighthawk router and it meets all of our WiFi needs. This fan fixed all of our overheating issues. It has a USB port so it gets power from the router and provides proper airflow. Why should I buy it again? 1. The unit works as advertised and the price was pretty reasonable (I paid $20). But the fans are too loud to be placed within 10 feet of a listener in a quiet room. , which is very bad since I bought it to cool the devices next to my keyboard. If they were placed across the room (>10ft) or only turned on when the audio equipment was on and making noise (TV, stereo) they would probably be unobtrusive and perfectly fine.

I have 2 routers and bought 2 of them. While they actually work quite well (when they do), they tend to develop noisy "camps". This is not good. This is a quality control issue and indicates that one of the fans is about to fail. Months, weeks, who knows. Of the 2 I bought, 1 had noisy bearings from the original purchase. I sent it back for a replacement. With the second, after about 3 weeks, the bearings in one of the fans rustled. I replace it too. This is NOT a good track record. If they…
