It's like a Chinese finger trap. ON THE CABLES!

Wow what can I say but this is such a GREAT plug. Before that I had two plug wires NOT CONNECTED but that just made everything warm and fuzzy. Think of it like a Chinese finger trap for cables! It's so beautiful that you no longer have to manually tie two wires together. Thank you Jasco products!

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • There is some nuance

Exactly what I wanted to connect using two slightly different cables - a 10ft RG6 quad shield extension cable with cable from my Revain Basics OTA TV antenna. The RG6 extended 10 feet from the TV out to the OTA antenna port, allowing me to reach the outside wall for better reception. Good product and good price

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Neutral

Very easy connection to extend cable line when moving TV and cable box. Sturdy metal and high quality design. It's easy to make the connection yourself. The cable company wanted to charge $95 for the ride just to go out and add an extension to my existing cable. We did it ourselves for about $15 and 5 minutes. You can also!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Annoys me

Strong connection. on Accessories and Consumables

Needed to extend the coaxial cable from my house to my bedroom. There are no outlets in my house because whoever installed the coaxial cable was too lazy to get it right. I put it between the existing coax and the 6ft coax to get the length I needed. Was very easy to install and provided a solid connection with no audio or video issues. There were two in the package so I have one more if I ever need it. I could have rushed to Wal-Mart to buy a set of these, but figured why not have them shipped

Pros
  • Complete Set
Cons
  • Requires Socket

A must-have item when re-wiring around the house.

He does what he says. I don't know if I paid a better price, but when RadioShack went out of business and didn't know where else to get something like this, I ordered from Revain. With Prime, why not? I recently cut a wire and had to run wires around the house and this has been really handy. I didn't notice any loss in signal strength or quality. Two coaxial cables connected without much effort. Definitely a must if you are replacing wiring around the house.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • High price

Uses this and a cable instead of a wifi booster

I wanted to buy a booster for my wifi as my laptop sometimes lost connection due to the hallway. The ISP installed a router on an ultra-short cable behind my couch. Instead of an amp, I chose to bring the source closer with an extension cord and this nifty converter. Download/upload speed tests show a 50% increase in my signal after placing the source by the side of the sofa, and I didn't have to spend money on an amplifier or electricity to power it. Two thumbs up!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Factor Set

Uses this and a cable in place of a wifi range extender

I was about to buy an extender for my wifi as my laptop sometimes lost connection due to the hallway. The ISP installed a router on an ultra-short cable behind my couch. Instead of an amp, I chose to bring the source closer with an extension cord and this nifty converter. Download/upload speed tests show a 50% increase in my signal after putting the source by the side of the couch, and I didn't have to spend money on an amplifier or electricity to power it. Pros
  • Audio & Video Accessories
Cons
  • Only available in black

Something I didn't know before I started running coax. These types of connectors, especially 90 degree connectors, introduce a lot of noise and degrade the signal. I bought a female to female connector here, but I bought a 90 degree connector (the same one listed as an option here) from Lowe's. I just invited a cable technician over to my house because my internet stopped working and his equipment confirmed that a 90 degree connection causes a 10dB signal drop because fine. Lowe and Revane sell

Pros
  • F pin coax tip
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model
