A bit clunky on sockets

I bought, tested and returned this unit. As far as I can tell, everything works correctly, although it's not that easy to use. It's basically the app that's getting in the way. I wanted a programmable socket that could turn our network modem/router on and off and get the job done. Scheduling is done through the app and is stored on the socket device so it is not lost or disabled when WiFi is turned off. However, the app is quite difficult to decrypt and I couldn't find any help for it. You canโ€ฆ

Good for certain needs but could be improved

I give 4 stars mainly because it's a good value for money Has ratio but is impractical to use because of a companion app. I bought this because I need a smart plug that is not wifi so I can turn on/off my wifi system + router + HiFi (anything that connects to a splitter that connects to the wall through this plug is). So I have a schedule to stop everything at night and turn it back on in the morning. A timer works, but I needed the ability to turn it back on from time to time, for example if I

Unique socket switch device

This is quite a unique device. I was looking for a way to turn something on WITHOUT using Wi-Fi. I knew it had to be Bluetooth, but I couldn't find anything on the market to connect anything to it (like my router). Then I came across this device from GE. It's a little tricky to install (more on that in a moment), but once you get it set up and running, it works great. Now my router is connected to this device and uses the schedule to turn the router on and off automatically. I can also controlโ€ฆ
