Actually works as promised. The backlit fan looks fantastic.

I love this fridge! Works as advertised, although the fit is a little tight on the Pi 4 (not bad to be honest). Real World Results: Overclocking the Pi to a core clock of 2.0 GHz, overclocking to 6, and GPU clock to 750 MHz. Run sysbench for maximum system load and with this cooler the pi temp never exceeded 50.0 degrees C. Now running projects and overheating at the same time is no longer a problem! 10/10 will buy again for my next Pi. Note: There aren't any cases where the Pi can be housedโ€ฆ

Kools PI 4 in Cana Mod

First I bought a Cana Kit with PI 4 -- 4 gigabytes. Empty case Cana bought another PI 4 but I didn't like the small fan. So I got this and cut a hole in the top idle temp, when running indoors it stayed around 34C to 36C. Wanted to start this as a PI Hole in the next few days.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • No paint needed

Keeps the Pi 4 very manageable

I bought this on recommendation from Alex Ellis' blog. He evaluated several cooling options for the Pi 4. I found this to work very well for my use i.e. a small Linux desktop in my workshop. I had cooling issues when I got my first Pi 4 but not since I installed this fan. All in all it works very well. I like the multicolored LED. It doesn't have to have that feature, but it makes it more appealing when it's not there. The fan is quiet enough for me, but my workshop isn't very quiet. I can'tโ€ฆ

I have two Rasberry Pi 3B (2015). Pihole with Rasberian (1.1 million domains blocked by multiple REGEX domains) Kali Linux for Rasberry Pi (network security) My Pihole and Kali are resource intensive. At one point I had about 3 million domains on my pihole, but to be more efficient I reduced it to just over 1 million. I bought two cooling units (black and white). It took me 15 minutes to install each one (I did it during a work meeting). My Unifi gateway has an alternate DNS setting in caseโ€ฆ

Just great! More cooling than your Pi will ever need.

With this miracle cooler I managed to achieve a super stable CPU overclocking to 2.3 GHz and GPU overclocking to 750 MHz on my Raspberry Pi 4 (8 GB model). The idle temperature is around 30-33ยฐC and never rises above 50ยฐ for more than 15 minutes even after all cores are fully loaded (with stress ng), after which the temperature seems to stabilize. I could be wrong, but I believe the Pi firmware starts mild thermal throttling at 60ยฐC and then kicks in full throttling above 80ยฐC. With an ICEโ€ฆ

Pi in the fridge!

I can't believe I bought a cooler with RGB lighting but here it is. Like everything on my computers, when I actually sit in front of it now, it needs to be running some sort of distributed processing application, like old Seti. I'm using 100% of the available processors 85% of the time. The color is meant to indicate temperature, and it's all blue and green. I just checked the temperature sensor in the Pi and it reads 47 C. Sounds pretty good to me. The mount is interesting. Theโ€ฆ
