Description of HC-SR501 PIR Motion Sensor Modules for Arduino - Geekstory Pack of 5pcs, Pyroelectric Infrared Body Sensor

Human body infrared sensor module is an automatic control product based on infrared technology. Features: high sensitivity, high reliability, ultra low power consumption, ultra low voltage operation mode.Operating voltage range: DC 4.5-20V . Widely used in various types of automatic induction electrical equipment.Ideal for Arduino, Raspberry Pi, PIC and more. The automatic sensor: to enter the sensor output range is high, people leave the sensor range of the automatic delay off high, output low. An interesting way to tell when people are approaching

I love this product. I put it in a project to recognize people. He climbs the stairs to my workshop and when another person comes by he warns me. Loud machines and woodworking equipment amaze me, but nothing more. The illustration shows an Arduino Nano communicating with this PIR sensor.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Contemporary

Ideal for most home projects

Good accurate detector. More than some, but certainly worth it when range is at stake. Configurable in terms of sensitivity and how long it stays in the "alert" state. In the case of a warning, it outputs a high level, in the normal state - a low one.

Pros
  • Motion Detector
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Very easy to set up with Arduino or any controller

This device does not require a microcontroller. Watch my video where I use this sensor and a Geekstory WS2812B LED ring to create a motion sensor. DroneBot Workshop has a good guide showing how to use this sensor with all types of microcontrollers.

Pros
  • Security & Surveillance
Cons
  • So far so good
