Raspberry Pi 4B & X400 V3.0 Metal Case with Power Switch, Heatsink, and DAC+AMP Expansion Board Review

I've upgraded my rating to 3 stars simply because Geekworm has been so responsive even during the coronavirus crisis. Although they still have not been able to solve the problem due to work restrictions, thanks for communicating with the support team. The problem is that 3 of the 4 threaded holes are too big and the supplied M2.5 5+5 standoffs don't secure the heatsink without a plug.

The case itself is of high quality and goes with everything. It's a really decent case, but it suffers from inferior accessories. The power button sometimes just blinks, causing the system to randomly reboot. Not a very good experience playing music or audio and suddenly it cuts out with a bang. The button is also useless, it doesn't turn off the Pi at all. This just turns off the power. I have used other Pi 4s for other projects, one of them is a media center with Libraelec, a very good operating system. I received this board and case so I can ship the music player but it's not set up that well. It doesn't seem powerful enough with the recommended power supply as the Raspberry Pi 4 doesn't have much choice, so I went with Vonumio and paid for a yearly subscription. Everything else looks like amateur work. The Raspberry Pi does not have a slot for inserting/ejecting an SD card. You have to install the software and mount it into the case along with other parts - there is no way to swap out the software without disassembling the case.
