The product arrived safely. The price was ok. The plumber tried to install it and encountered 2 problems. 1. The chilled water pressure dropped to about 10% of its original value. 2. It was not possible to have room temperature water. If you move the faucet a little, it gets very hot. Makes the sink inoperable. Try to return/exchange it

About a year after initial installation I had flow issues with this GE filtration system. This one seems to work properly after about a week, so it's definitely no worse than the filters I bought in HD. Definitely a good deal at $20 for a full setup, especially considering the filter alone sells for around $36. I'm sure I'll end up having the same data flow issues as when I first installed it, but at this price point it's still a bargain.

Very easy installation but the fittings supplied with this filter only allow installation as a direct connection to a cold water line. I only wanted to supply filtered water to the refrigerator and the separate drinking water faucet in the kitchen sink (HOMEIDEAS Single Handle Drinking Water Faucet - available from Revain), so I had to purchase additional plumbing fixtures and pipes to make the extra connections.
