This is the ONLY pencil sharpener that effectively sharpens my professional Prismacolor pencils that I use in my illustrator job. The Prismacolor sharpener doesn't fit and costs a lot more. When you sharpen pencils with a large, solid part, your lead doesn't break as often as with other sharpeners! Before that I had to use a sharpener, sharpener and sandpaper. So far I've spent half my working day sharpening pencils!

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Sharpens pencils without much waste. I'm happy.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Good metal sharpener with two holes, super light!

Recently purchased this General two hole pencil sharpener for my wife and her art drawings. General uses aluminum to make this two-hole pencil sharpener, so it's much lighter than the old pencil sharpeners. My wife likes the light weight because she's older and her arms don't always work. Although I prefer the heavier model as it seems easier to grip when sharpening the pencil. But hey, that's just me. The blades of the double hole pencil sharpener were sharp and ready to shave the pencils…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I have doubts
