General Purpose Power Relay HK19F Review

Great value for money compared to relays from other suppliers. I didn't test all 10 relays, but the first two I pulled out of the box work great on a 12v circuit. The relays look just as good as the ones you can get $5 or more for at the Radio Shack pay. While it's too early to tell how they'll hold up, I'll update the review if I run into any issues.

With a high impedance coil they only draw a few milliamps to drive the coil. I use them in control circuits, so the current draw on the contacts is small, I have no experience with how they switch a large load. This is my 2nd set of relays and after over 30 months of use (on/off daily) NO problems. I will order a 3rd set if I need more.

Good general purpose relays. The pins are a little flimsy so don't try to carry a lot of current or voltage, but they're great for signal switching or low power consumption. The coil needs to be fairly small as its impedance and current draw is about half what some of my other 12 volt relays require. Another important note: mine came in a padded envelope, not a box, so a few pins were bent. If you are careful, you can successfully bend them back with smooth-jawed pliers.

I bought these to use as a video signal switcher between CarPlay and a rear view camera on my Audi's MMI screen. It is designed to work on 12V, so when reversing it will switch to the rear view camera when the 12V lights up on the reverse light, and back to the video when driving on CarPlay.
